Review of Esse Ironheart cooking range

ESSE Ironheart with boiler

N.campen 14 years ago

We are very disappointed with many aspects of this purchase, the build quality is poor with fire door not sealing properly, hot plate covers not seating, door handles touching, ash pan unusable with the handle breaking within 2 weeks of use,the boiler does not produce sufficient hot water to run the system we were advised that it would run, the fire box door glass blackens easily as the "air wash" facility does not clean the glass despite running it at max heat with well seasoned logs , the oven is good and generally "visitors" like it as it is in keeping with our property.\nWould we buy again? NO, particularly as we have NOT had any positive support to resolve these issues.\n\n

Stove expert replied: it sounds like there are a few issues to bring up with the supplier that need sorting with this stove. As regards output to water and glass blackening this would be helped by the use of a load unit, and possibly the wood is not as well seasoned as one might think.
