Review of Esse Ironheart cooking range

Esse Iron Heart

John Alcock 12 years ago

We bought the Ironheart back in 2007 for our house in France and used it sparingly until we moved there permanently in 2010 when it was put into full time use during the winter. Gradually over the next 18 month period the quality, or lack of it, showed with hinges that are badly worn even on doors that were never opened (the false door below the oven). I contacted the nearest dealer who was 2 1/2 hours away, which was too far and they wouldn't come out. I also contacted another who was 600 miles away!! I ended up ordering the parts to fit myself. I am still waiting to be contacted by Esse Technical who I contacted some 3 months ago. I am still waiting for the modified firebox as the original one will not work. It cooks and warms the house perfectly but quality and service from a company that's been in business so long is appalling.

Stove expert replied: A disappointing story as Esse have a reputation for good customer service. Try emailing: David.Randlesome@esse.com
