Review of Esse 350 stove

Esse 350a

We bought this stove to fit in the standard open fire gap. It slotted straight in. Sealed it with fire rope. I have been impressed with the controllability of the flaps, and the air wash keeps the glass clean. \n\n Bad points. The paint is pealing off the side, and the fire plate melted in the top, but esse were superb, and sent me a replacement out through the dealer at huddersfield. \n Dubious heat output, it states around 7, but doesn't kick out as much as my previous tiger plus. \n\n Good points. Large fire box, excellent ash tray, well made with nice handle. If you load it with duck egg coal, and wet wood it will go over night. If you burn pallet wood on it, it gets the house nice and warm. After this winter I am selling it to buy a hunter herald 14 to do the central heating. \n\n Overall i would buy again, nicely finished with excellent backup service. Comes with nice glove, and custom ash tray handle. Nice touch. \n\n

Stove expert replied: Is the low heat generated due to the quality of the fuel perhaps. Glad that the manufacturer is giving good after sales support.
