Review of Dunsley Highlander 8 stove
Dunsley Highlander 8
Have had this stove for eight years. Grate bars burnt through at three years.Replacement Chrome-iron bars excellent (and expensive). Still as good as new.Throat plate burnt through at five years.Replacement has only lasted two & half years (and doubled in price!) Clay firebricks supplied with stove crumbling after 7 years and replaced by Vermiculite (supplied without saying they were not clay, by Dunsley) They have lasted 3 MONTHS before starting to break up. The Fuel Retaining bar which was not ordered but supplied and charged for with Throat Plate, had to be ground before it would fit. This was my first experience of a Multi-fuel stove and I now have a good idea of what to look for if I replace it. Overall it's satisfactory but I'm not impressed.
