Review of Dru 44 stove

Dru 44 10 year review

Paul Radford 3 months ago

Had my Dru44 10 operational years without any defects , I burn it hot so needed a couple of throat plates over the years , not cheap at £140 , and one circular grate at £40 , numerous fire bricks, cheap as chips .

Removal of the throat plate can be tricky due to permanent expansion over the years, I find refitting easier if you scribe and shave 2mm or so off the firebrick, put the throatplate in first and slide the shaved area of the firebrick down both sides of the plate. If anyone knows how to remove the door for ease of fitting the stove rope please contact me at p.rad63@live.co.uk. I hope you''ve found this review helpful.
