Review of Coalbrookdale Severn stove

Severn Stove with Boiler

Mike Young 4 years ago

Apologies if this is an old question but we recently bought a house with a Severn stove with boiler.

The hot water pipes have disconnected. Is this safe to use as a multi fuel fire?

Thank you

Stove expert replied: The Health and Safety Executive states that stoves that are designed with integral boilers should no longer be used if the water system has been drained down, They recommend that they are discarded. Previous advice regarding filling the boiler with sand and leaving the tappings open no longer applies.
