Review of Clearview vision 500 stove

Expectations well met

This is the third stove we have owned so we had a good idea of what we wanted. We took the view that, considering also the installation and long-term running costs, the initial purchase price was only part of the calculation. The stove being made in the UK and not too far from us was also a factor, and this worked out well as the supplier, installer and fireplace builder were all well known to each other; the work was done on time and an early miscalculation was sorted out very quickly. \n The stove lights easily and warms the whole house (we use an Ecofan). It is easy to control and seems to use fuel very efficiently. \n\nThe big glass panel is definitely a plus - the appearance is very much like an open fire. We also like the classic and simple design which would fit in with any style of decoration.\n\nWe have not owned the stove long enough to comment on its durability, but it certainly seems solidly built. \n\nWe are very pleased with this stove and would recommend it to anyone.\n\n

Stove expert replied: These stove fans move the heat to give a balanced room temperature, they are quite expensive but worth the investment.
