Review of Clearview Pioneer 400 stove
Clearview Pioneer 400 Review
This stove is FANTASTIC.\nWe installed it 7 years ago and have no regrets whatsoever. At the time we considered stoves by Stovax and Morso but after much reading of reviews decided on the Clearview and we are extremely happy with it.\nLighting it is simplicity itself provided you use enough newspaper, kindling and dry wood. The quality of wood burnt as with any stove is crucial - it needs to be seasoned for a minimum of 2 years.\nThe stove will stay it overnight but lighting it is so easy that we never use this option.\nThe airflow system is superb and really does work. We only clean the glass about once a year and even then only because we want it to be crystal clear. Opening up the airflow completely will clear any residue caused by closing the stove down to its minimum setting. Watching the flames is highly soporific and we regularly fall asleep in front of the fire.\nYes you have to use gloves to open the door but you need gloves on to put the wood into the stove anyway, so just put them on before you touch the door, it's not difficult.\nClearview stoves are more expensive than other ones but having lived with ours for all this time, I think they are worth every penny, with the added bonus that you will be supporting a UK based manufacturer.\nAll in all a fantastic stove and I would never consider another manufacturer in future.\n\n
