Review of Clearview Pioneer 400 stove

Mostly pleased

Rod Langton 7 years ago

Having owned a clear view 500 for some years I decided to augment my house''s heating with a pioneer 400.

The stove is easy to light and burns well however, a problem arises if you wish to turn it down from a hot fire. Unlike my very responsive 500 closing the vents on the 400 when the fire is hot takes about 30 minutes for the fire to subside. It seems to me that there must be some sort of air leak in the body of the stove that I have been unable to locate.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem?
