Not a multi fuel stove

Janet Christian 12 years ago

This stove is a wonderful wood burner but there is a great deal of confusion as to whether it is a multi fuel stove. I bought it on the understanding that I could burn manufactured solid fuel in it but after it was installed discovered that the Operating Instructions said that it had been tested for wood burning only and that it would void the warranty if manufactured solid fuels were burnt on it. And after only one attempt to burn a small amount of solid fuel mixed with logs I found that the ash can had been unable to cope with the extra amount of hot ash and had warped.

Stove expert replied: Ask as many questions as you can before purchase to insure that the stove will do what you want it to do. An expensive mistake if the wrong fuel is used.
