Review of Clearview 650 stove
Love it!
Bought November 2011 for our sitting room in an old, large stone house which sits fully exposed at the top of a hill. I simply could not be without this now!
Not only does it heat our sitting room and hallway easily, the two bedrooms above which were previously always cold and chilled are now always pleasant to go into. Within a very short time of the stove being put on that section of the house is warm. I have noticed that if you try to open the right hand door when it is on some smoke blows out, but I have worked out that if you slightly blow into the door whilst opening it the smoke redirects back in without the smell/smoke coming out. Visually the logs burning always looks great, but I never have it full or it would get far too hot! If glass needs to be cleaned occasionally I have found a simple wipe over with kitchen roll and water does the job - it's that easy. Handle does get a bit hot which is probably the only drawback. Would I buy again? Without a doubt. In fact I am now looking at buying another two for the rest of the house - one for the kitchen and one for the living room (and their surrounding areas, and rooms above!).- Respond

Apologies, I mistakenly pressed the 'unhelpful' link instead of the 'helpful' link - which I did to see who was condemning the stove but that was not the purpose of the link! I wonder what the efficiency rating for this stove is. I cannot find any reference to this in their brochure but, clearly, the more efficient the stove the less wood is required for the heat released.
