Review of Classic Harmony 1 multifuel stove

Second hand nightmare

Helen Roberts 3 months ago

We replaced our oil Harmony stove with a multi fuel version as we have a lot of ash die back and potentially tons of fire wood to utilise. We’re really disappointed with our new stove, we find it very difficult to control, with it burning fiercely or sometimes struggling to burn seasoned oak and ash logs despite being connected to a newly swept class one chimney flue. The stove is in perfect condition and doesn’t appear to anything wrong with it it.

It got a little better when we established a decent ash bed and fitted new rope seals.

It was partially dismantled when we bought it and we’re wondering if we have made a mistake in when we put everything back together.

Stove expert replied: I would highly recommend getting a registered sweep/installer out to confirm all is as should be. Harmony stoves are a fantastic. It may be that it hasn't been put back together properly
