charnwood island one

This stove looks a beauty quite large internally for burner. Lights with great ease warmth quickly. Smells after firing for first few time that's nonormal and heat builds up fast after the first few burns. Though this is primarily a wood burning stove. I burn kiln dried seasoned wood. Don't know though if any one can help but when burning ( my stove has a rear flue adapter) but something keeps banging on the top plate where the flue can be adapted. It's really annoying and maybe I have not yet mastered it yet, the wood 3 to four logs with kindling burns out in 45 mins to an hour though don't know if iI've sorted that now that's with airflow closed down. All in all I still love this beauty. Xxxx

Stove expert replied: The smell of the paint curing will wearing off after a few firings. The noise requires further investigation, perhaps the baffle plate is not quite in the right place. The stove shoudl be controllable and should not be running at a fast rate all the time, so if using the air controls does nothing to slow the rate of burn down I would suggest looking at getting a damper so that more control can be achieved.
