Review of Charnwood Island I stove

Hot stuff

Nick 11 years ago

We have had the Charnwood Island I for 2 1/2 years now and thoroughly pleased with it. Easy to light with paper and softwood, I have tried fire lighters but have moved back to paper and softwood. I burn smokeless coal mainly which gives out tremendous heat and allows the whole house to remain warm for several house. Banking it down overnight is easy and very pleasant to wake up to a warm lounge. The door handle has worked loose a few times but no problem to correct. The glass has remained clean and only requires a quick wipe with a damp cloth every now and then to keep it looking smart. Definitely worth the money and you get what you pay for.

Stove expert replied: Good feedback for this stove. Heat for 24hrs a day which is saving on alternative heating bills.
