Had the Charnwood Island 2 installed in March 2015. Gives out excellent heat but I hope the fishy / new paint burning smell goes soon ..... Have used the fire about 20 times and thought it would have gone by now ......

Hi, I also have this problem. I bought a Charnwood C5 and had it installed. I''ve had it burning now 20/30 times. It works well but I keep getting the fishy smell when the stove heats up to 200 deg. I contacted Charnwood and they said it would be the paint on the surrounding walls but this is all water based paint?... Did you manage to get rid of the Smell?
