Review of Charnwood Country 4 stove

Disappointing Woodburner

Jacki Hebblethwaite 9 years ago

We bought this woodburner to provide background heating in our hall. After less than a year the internal back plate has buckled and is not covered by the guarantee. We do not have a thermometer (it was never suggested) although reading the previous review it sounds as if it would have made no difference. . Really not sure what to do next.

Stove expert replied: It may be caused by an over drawing flue which will make to stove work harder than is recommended, you can establish this if the stove has little control and is always busy but not producing a great deal of heat. The quality of timber will also make a huge difference to the heat produced.
