Review of Charnwood Country 4 stove

Efficient, Quality Woodburner - a benchmark for others.

Andy 10 years ago

I visited many showrooms and friends with burners before deciding on the Charnwood Country 4. This one appeared to be good value and made in the UK as well - everyone warns to avoid the cheap Chinese ones, no problems there then. This one was not the cheapest in its size category and also certainly not the most expensive. I have had it nearly a year now and it has proven to be great. Well made and attractive - it has a traditional look rather than a modern, trendy one. It takes 13cm logs no probs. I have it in a 13ft x 13ft room which has sliding doors to a dining room. This beauty heats both rooms. It would not burn all night, too small, but that is not an issue for us. The controls are straightfoward and strong. A year on and all doors controls etc are tight, no sagging hinges! For the money this should be in your top 3 list when choosing a small burner.
