Review of Charnwood c4 stove

Brilliant

Eamon Sheehan 10 years ago

We live in a granite flat in North of Scotland and the main lounge is 10x4m..during last winters coldest weather it Was difficult to heat. So I looked at options for more insulation or a wood burner, eventually settled on a c4 after seeing one at a friends. Once up to heat this stove is more than adequate and glad I did not opt for anything bigger. We burn birch wood and in reality we can do without the central heating and often have to have the door open so it also contributes to heating the whole house. I won't live in a house in this climate ever again without a wood burner. Also great excuse to buy an axe and forage for timber, leads to loads of interesting conversations with like minded bearded types...
