Review of Carron enamel stove

Great value , contemporary styled enamel stove

First up , I will be totally honest and advise I actually supply stoves to the UK market from a couple of brands , including Carron. HOWEVER before you hound me off the site, I have actually installed one of the latest Carron 7.3kw rated stoves into my own home with this insider knowledge. I have a black enamelled version installed to heat a 5m2 double height room in my old Grade 2 listed Victorian School conversion that has solid walls , single glazing and a draughty front door. The stove heats it well and the missus even heats her coffee cafetiere on the top while working in the room as an upholsterer during the day. I have always thought of the Carron as the Ford Mondeo of stoves , you get a lot of value for your money , solid brick lined construction ( a must in my book and beware of the cheaper stoves without ), nice contemporary styling and a decent range of colours , so a departure from the old Ford legend 'any colour as long as its black!' The cream colour , not advised in the spec above , is VERY popular and the 7.3kw actually has a flue at top and rear now to give it even more flexibility. The smaller 4.7kw stove has all the colours but only a top flue option which might be where the confusion has come from. \n\n
