I bought a lovely little cream Carron stove 4 years ago, yes the enamel did crack slightly around the flue, but no surprise as it got very hot and the enamel is glass-I found the same on my £30,000 Aga and was told by them it was normal. The Carron Stove has performed well and is a great bargain compared to the nearest competitors that are twice the price or more. I have a Clearview too and I regret the money I spent. The Carron works nearly as well and looks so pretty.
