Review of Burley Hollywell 9105 stove

We love our Holywell

We bought our Holywell Burley stove about 18 months ago after doing a lot of research about which stove to get. We ended up choosing the Holywell. It is absolutely fantastic- warms the main half of our flat and goes really well. At first it took us a while to get it going and to learn which settings are best. Now we think we have it down to a tee- we start with small pieces of wood and sometimes we open the door on the wee latch to get the log to ''catch''. the wood does need to be dry. We use fans to spread the hot air around the flat. We love the big door and being able to see the flame through it- we clean the door about once a week but when the stove hits the right temp it does clean itself. We find we can turn the leaver on the front down to the lowest setting and leave it there for a sustained heat. we have had no problems with the door handle or the leaver- so far everything working really well and we hardly ever have to clean the ashes out. We're very happy with our decision.

Stove expert replied: Positive feedback on this stove and it will take time to learn how to get the best from a stove, several factors can alter the performance, fuel quality, weather conditions etc. Patience when a new stove has been installed will usually lead to better performance overall.
