Review of Burley Hollywell 9105 stove

Burley Holywell 5kw

After our infrequently used gas fire was damaged whilst being serviced we decided to look into getting a wood burning stove. I'm sure like most people we spent weeks looking round suppliers and researching on the internet. At first I was drawn to the more contemporary looking stoves but was always put off by the price.

We eventually came across the Holywell which the shop owner couldn't rate highly enough, so been a novice with these things decided to take his advice.

Once installed it looked great especially the large viewing window, you'll find yourself watching the swirling orange flames instead of the TV!

We did struggle to get it going the first few times we used it but think that was down to the wood rather than the stove as we have just fired it up for the first time since March (now October) and using the logs that have sat inside all summer it lit no problem and was up to temperature (flue thermometer) and burning beautifully within 15 minutes.

Although I still like the look of the contemporary stoves the Holywell was definitely the right choice with its high efficiency and spectacular flame, our whole house ( 1920s semi) has never been warmer.
