Review of Burley Debdale 9104

Never worked and a struggle to get it sorted

Anson Harris 10 years ago

I bought a Burley Debdale 4kW . I had my chimney pronounced healthy by a registered chimney sweep and the stove installed by a HETAS engineer.

Unfortunately, the stove never managed to stay alight once the door had been closed (off the cam) no matter what I did.

After many hours and days of attempts, calls to Burley and HETAS and the fitter trying everything possible, I can confidently say that there is a fundamental fault with the stove.

How can I prove this?

Firstly, the Pascal reading of my flue is 10 - twice that required.

Second, HETAS have signed off the fitting as 100% correct.

Third, I then put a Charnwood C4 in and it works like a dream.

The supplier and manufacturer deny completely that there is a problem with the stove. Strange when another works perfectly!!
