Review of Burley Brampton 9108 stove

Burley Brampton 1908 stove

Kevin Schofield 11 years ago

In 2012 I decided to replace my old stove, an architect friend had just changed his after much research and had chosen the Burley Brampton 1908 and I followed suit. Now don't get me wrong I love this stove for the heat and effect it produces but since 2012 I have had to replace the top baffle three times at my cost because it had split in the middle directly below the flue, Burley tech/customer services have advised me that the damage may have been caused by condensation due to me banking up the stove at night and when I am out at work, they have advised me that the stove is not made to be used in this way, I have pointed out to them that in my oppinion their 16 page user manual does not mention this restriction and I am a bit upset as like a lot of people I would like to "keep the fire in"overnight to wake up to a warm room but alass it appears this stove is not made for this operation and again I am being asked to pay for yet another top baffle, if anyone else has had similar problems I would be glad to hear from them.
