Review of Burley Brampton 9108 stove
Great stove
After much research we decided on the Burley Brampton as it had good reviews and was one of the few Defra approved large wood burners. After 2 months use we are absolutely delighted - the stove's performance certainly lives upto the high expectations engendered by the reviews including the problem with the door handle. Its a simply a great stove.
We installed the stove without chimney insulation or chimney liner contrary to the strong advice of 4 well known stove installing companies here in Surrey. They all said that the stove would not work effieciently, would smoke and it was against building regs. None of which has proved to be true - I checked with the manufacturers and the building regs and saved us well over £3000.00. My experience suggests a chimney liner and insulation can always be retrofitted if found to be necessary once the stove has been installed and given a few test burns.Stove expert replied: Lining the flue and insulating it provides the optimum conditions for effective and efficient stove burning, can depend on type, size and age of chimney always ask a chimney expert.
