Acrid smell when burning
My house started occasionally stinking of an acrid smell when this fire is on. The fire was fitted 9 years ago and this problem has only started happening last year. After a wood burn last night and the acrid smell happening, this morning I lifted the loose ring that sits around the flue and on top of the fire and saw what looked like black wet tar substance that’s oozed out at I guess some sort of seal. I would upload a picture if I could. I just now need to work out how to fix??
