Review of Bergen stove

Good but tricky

Tom 12 years ago

Great looking fire when fully burning. Been using it a week now and still not used to it fully.

We are finding that as per many of the other reviews we need to leave the door ajar to really get it flaming- even using wood 10-15% moisture. With the door is closed it tends to smolder.

We have not lined our chimney (yet) as we were hoping it was not needed but its looking like we will possibly have to. (if we do I will try and update this review with the results may be 5.0 all over then)

However lovely stove- just needs some working out and a very good flue by the looks of it.

Stove expert replied: Lining a flue will improve the draw and efficiency of modern stoves, worth the expense in the long run.
