Review of Aga Ludlow stove

We did quite a lot of research on this site amongst others before choosing our stove and are generally very pleased with it.

The only quibble I have with the stove is the appalling delays in obtaining one from Aga once ordered. According to the dealer it is a common problem experienced with Aga stoves. I have been told that they often miscalculate the number of parts required and are then unable to fulfil orders during winter. I ordered my stove in August and finally managed to get hold of one just before Christmas. Their customer service seemed uncaring and uncooperative while the dealer seemed powerless to do anything about it.

However, since it has been installed I have been very pleased with it. The stove is easy to control and can burn overnight at a squeeze. The air wash system is a little hit and miss and won't work on a slow burn but the glass is easy enough to clean.

I would buy another Aga but only if I saw it in stock somewhere. I wouldn't want to be left waiting for ages waiting for another one.
