I really liked the look of the Ludlow; having read the reviews was slightly sceptical but decided to go for it...very disappointed. I have a Clear View in my hall and it’s a far superior stove, so I think I made a mistake with my purchase. The rope on the door of my Ludlow does not appear to be fitting, meaning I have to clean the glass daily which is time consuming and means I will have to change the rope on the door for a thicker variety hoping it may improve the stove...after only having it a couple of weeks.

Stove expert replied: Changing the rope to a thicker one may not solve the problem, stoves are fitted with the rope correct for its needs. Have you looked at adjusting the door to get a better seal?
