Review of ACR Neo 3P
Surprise at break of glass after 2 months
Purchased this product and installed Dec 7th 2018. Minimal use due to mild weather. On Feb 14th 2019 side glass split whilst fire burning. I have assumed it was toughened / tempered glass that has been used which should withstand heat produced by stove.This should not have happened on a new product and should be included in the warranty but it appears I am responsible for paying for what is considered a consumable.
Stove expert replied: It is very unusual for any manufacturer to cover glass in their warranty, it is classed as consumable. If you compare it to a car windscreen, they can fail at any time and this appears to have happened with your stove glass which is most unfortunate.Have you been in touch with your supplier as they may be able to negotiate some discount on a replacement for you? If not possible you may be able to claim from your house insurance.
