Review of Wamsler 900 series cooking range

Much better than any other for wood heating

I've been running a Wamsler 900 I got 2nd hand for 16 years and it has been great. Does heating, hot water and cooking all from wood. The whole of the top plate can be used for cooking and is controllable by vent positions and raising or lowering the fire grate. A good large oven too. Overall I think Wamsler are far superior to others stoves of this type which for all their mass provide 2 rings/pot positions one hot one warm and no control. The Wamsler output is greater than comparable sized Aga/Rayburn/Stanley options which I've looked at and they wouldn't produce enough to heat our home. Only thing I'd like to add is a glass door for the firebox.

Stove expert replied: Good review for the Wamsler range cooker.
