Review of Traditional Stove

Capital Fireplaces - Sirius / Sigma 490 MF

James Hallam 8 years ago

Overall a great stove for a low price. Good built quality, very easy to light and control. The airwash works perfectly.

I was a little hesitant buying this stove due to lack of review online (hence posting this...)

the only (slight) negatives:

The firebox is quite small - only big enough for a couple of small logs, or one big one. I have not yet been able to keep it going over night (not a huge issue for me)

The handle was a little stiff when first installed, this is much better now - just takes a bit of getting used to.

I have the multi fuel version, but have only every burned logs.

Stove expert replied: If you wish to try overnight burning you will probably have more success using smokeless fuel.
