Review of The Ryedale stove

ryedale stove

Installed March 2011 in lounge diner 28ftx11ft, heats up very well, when hot enough in lounge then open door for heat to go upstairs.Air vent fitted at rear of stove as before when lounge door open it was drawing cold air across the room, this has now been cured by air vent, we also have placed a small fan at rear of stove to help push out the heat. We burn dry mixed logs and have to refuel every hour, but when using smokeless coal mixed with logs every 3hours, or smokeless on its own 5/6 hours. We had to have a liner fitted as chimney pots were upside down.It is so easy to light we do not keep it in over night, but a couple of mornings we have managed to get it going when late to bed. It's installed in a detached house 25 years old. All in all a very good stove would recommend, but the Little Thurlow was first choice, but had issues with the flue liner.
