Review of Stratford TF90 stove
Are there any comparable stoves?
We originally bought an Aarrow 14 years ago. The first model only lasted about 6years but this one is still going. We find that keeping the fuel as dry as possible is a key consideration and ensuring that the rope is kept maintained to ensure a tight seal on the door definitely helps to avoid over firing. I'm now looking at what is on the market to compare similar output/steel construction rather than cast iron and there really are few alternatives. Yes it has it's faults and my husband as the primary user would be the first to grumble about the cost of rope and fire cement. But it's seen us through the worst two winters and more so I'm finding it hard to criticise. We mostly use coal but have used wood. It's going to be difficult to justify a different model.\n\n
Stove expert replied: If it works why change it? All spares are expensive in comparison to initial stove price!
