This stove is a very controllable stove whe have ours heating a three bed house with a 180L thermal store feeding 8 heaters one Is a large double and a dump heater also this supply's mains pressure
hot water. The Finish fades after a while but there are loads of products on the market which restore this. The door handle gets very hot but the stove comes supplied with a heat glove. As for fuel we burn wood. Eco coal over night, with a shovel of coal and the stove shut down it will say alight for 8 hours. never burn ordinary coal on it. The other thing we use on it is peat as it does not burn as hot on those summer evenings.Air wash is ok Easy to clean if the glass gets a little tarred up, we use a wet cloth dipped in a little ash and wipe the glass and it will take the discolouration off. Ash easy to remove with the tray. Parts are easy to get as after 5 years we have replaced the front glass and the raker bar both were reasonably priced if you shop about. Our stove is lucky if it goes out once in every 4 weeks so gets lots of use.All in all a smart looking stove very controllable and not expensive to run especially if you can get free wood.
The stove is well constructed and looks good in situ. In use the stove lights easily and is quick to build up heat, we easily keep the stove in for long periods and it has warmed our three bed
detached house well through its first winter. The air wash could be better, open it enough to keep the glass clean and it increase fuel burn. The painted surface was marked on installation (it is not as robust as the old enamelled stove surfaces) but it can be quickly repainted using the manufacturers (Arada brand)spray paint. We find the stove easier to use on a daily basis than our last stove, we use a Tippy ash carrier for ease of emptying the stove.
