Review of Stovax Riva 55 stove
Noisy Riva 50
Have this Riva 50 cassette stove almost a year now. Works fine though I think the riddle is fairly useless, never much ash in the pan.
Main issue I have is the banging and cracking as it warms up and cools down. Had it reinstalled 2 days ago by same installer and appears maybe slightly improved but far from what I expected. Compared to a Stanley in my sisters house I am not impressed. Really loud banging and cracking. Any ideas? How quiet should it be? Also the paint on the wall aboive the stove is blistering? Put some masking tape around the frame for painting chimney breast after recent re installation but it pulled paint off frame in some places? Firebox is plenty big but I could never put a decent fire into it!
