Review of Stovax Riva 50 stove

I’m dissapointed

Estelle Wright 4 years ago

I replaced a free standing stove with a Riva 50. The heat from it is definitely not as hot as the last stove Unless I open up the vents which very quickly burns the wood. Although it looks good seeing the flames and it is much neater I can not turn it down to gently smouldering the way I used to on old one. When I close the vents it keeps burning an then gets cold quickly. My last one smouldered all night giving constant heat.

Stove expert replied: The flue draw may be excessive for this stove hence the lack of control, this is difficult to rectify in an inset model. Do check the glass and door seals to make sure that they are effective.
