    The contemporary design suits our more modern house, and the large glass area gives a great view of the fire, particularly as it remains largely soot free thanks to an effective air wash system... []

    Stove expert replied: Ash pans should be emptied often to maintain an airflow through the grate as allowing it to build up can shorten a grates life, hot ash should not stay in the pan after riddling but should be removed.
