Review of Saey Signum 25 woodburning stove

Saey Signum 25

Matt Harding 15 years ago

As part of some general improvements in my house including external insulation and new windows, I installed my Saey Signum 25, 3 years ago. The only problem that I had with the unit was the roller pin used to secure the door which broke off after 1 year due to a bad spot weld. Other than that, this unit is extremely efficient and very reliable. The airwash is exceptional and our glass remains clear after three years of seasonal use. I would recommend removal of all fire bricks and a full clean out of the unit at the end of every season in preparation for the next autumn/ winter. Although this particular model is no longer available I would thoroughly recommend the contemporary Saey range to any potential purchaser. This is the first wood burning stove that we have owned and have no complaints at all. Our gas bills have reduced substantially as a result of the unit in conjunction with the other energy saving work that we have done to the house.
