Review of Parkray Consort 7
Delighted with stove
I have a double-sided Consort 7 fitted about 3 years ago now. It is multi-fuel and took me a while to get the hang of it. I now burn mainly kiln-dried wood with a few lumps(3) of Eco 50 Home-fire (or a straw log) to keep the heat in the stove for when I forget to put more wood on. The controls took a while to master and if I am not careful to properly regulate the airflow, the doors can soot up. Because the fire is in a alcove in the middle of the room, I use an Eco-fan on top of it to disperse the heat. This is a wonderful contraption which starts to turn when the stove heats up. Now all parts of the room are cosy. Suspect a single sided stove is easier to cope with but I needed a double-sided one! It serves it's purpose and is certainly much much better than the open fire.
