Review of Parkray Consort 15

Fantastic stove fiddly ash pan.

Bev 9 years ago

The stove itself has a tremendous heat output and takes a really big log. You can boil a kettle on it if you have the flat top. I have even cooked on it during a power cut. Overall I am very satisfied and I would recommend it. However it does have some design faults. The ash pan is rather difficult to remove as it has a lip so you have to lift and manoeuvre the ash pan over the top of it. The lip also makes cleaning out the ash pan cavity quite fiddly. The handles do get hot, but I use a pair of welders gloves so that isn't really a problem. If it wasn't for the lip where the ash pan is located I would have scored it a 5 all round.
