Review of Ottawa 5 stove range

First stove and I''m happy it was this

I bought this 5kw stove and had it fitted by a DEFRA approved fitter. He was more than happy to fit it. Instructions were informative and had all relevant information required for the fitter to complete registration of my installation. I'm happy with the adjust-ability of the fire and so far I've yet to crack it through heat. The installation fitter commented on the build quality being as good as more expensive stoves he has installed. I can get this going with a very small amount of fuel I've a fan and temperature sensor on the flue, with the adjust-ability I can very easily keep it between 100 and 150*c, Its not too hungry on wood and I refill it every hour. It has a nice sized glass which is easy to clean with a razor blade and about 3 logs fills it, I wouldn't have any reservations buying this again.

Stove expert replied: Cleaning glass should only require a damp cloth dipped in wood ash or vinegar and heavy deposits should not occur if dry seasoned wood with a moisture content of less than 20% is used, of course where you have the airwash control will also affect how clean the glass will be.
