Review of Newbourne 50FS stove

Very good stove, very well built and punches well above it's weight.

The Newbourne 50s is a great stove, it looks good, works very well, is a well designed, and well built stove. The stove lights up really easily and air draw through the stove is exceptional. The stove is very responsive to the two air flow systems it uses and gives a lovely flame pattern. The glass in the door is a very good size which makes the flames a pleasure to view. The glass is kept clean by an exceptional air wash system - much better than my old stove. The burn is very clean and never soots up the internal fire bricks.

Being a multi fuel stove it can burn wood or smokeless fuel. Using smokeless fuel the burner will slumber for hours. The Newbourne 50s is rated at 5.5kw but I consider that to be on the conservative side. Heat output is also very impressive and there is no need to load the stove up to the hilt to get good heat output. I said, that IMO the 5.5kw rating is conservative, and that's because the stove firebox is huge for a stove of this size and wow it can really pump out the heat if you do give the stove it's head. I am able to turn off my radiators when the stove is alight and it heats a 25 X 25 room easily. The stove is easy to keep clean I use a Stove Polish to keep it looking good and black.

I had looked at loads of stoves before I bought this one - I saw this one running in a review video on you tube and it looked a very nice stove.

I am very pleased with this stove and would not hesitate to recommend it. It is efficient, looks very modern and is satisfying to live with. Ok I'm off to light up now.
