This is a great Stove. I also have a radiant Squirrel in another room and never thought I could get a better stove than that. But the 1442 certainly is. Why? Because it is even easier to light and, crucially, it heats an identically sized room (19 foot by 13 foot) far more quickly and with a more comfortable heat. Once lit and with the temperature at 300 degrees (use a stove thermometer) it will burn beautifully for hours with minimal encouragement (using decent hardwood of course).

Had it for over 2 years now. Highly recommended.
