  • Fantastic woodburning stove!

Fitted 5 years ago in an open plan extension to an 1800''s built Lodge cottage. Looked for ages to find a suitable stove and loved this one. Looks fantastic, easy to light and economical with
hardwood logs. As it''s in an extension built with more insulation than building standards require, we usually only light it in the early evening, using about 5/6 logs in an evening, no more logs after 9pm and it dies down over night. Fitted with a long black stovepipe before the insulated stovepipe which exits the roof, looks much better than the stainless usually fitted. An expensive stove but well worth it, looks beautiful, heats superbly and commented on by all our friends. Superb build, no problems at all in 5 years. We use the log box to store kindling and use a basket for logs alongside. Highly recommended.

  • Worth every penny.

I bought this stove as I know the brand and recommend them to customers. As you would expect the build quality from Morso is excellent. Easy to lite, 6 rolled up newspaper pages with two handfulls
of kindling and two small soft wood logs on top with the door pushed shut (not locked) and within 5 minutes its roaring away, after a further 5 minutes you can lock the door. The heat from the 7642 is great. Easy to control with the top sliding air controller. Ash pan is big and well made, great log store. We have installed this using twin wall insulataed pipe from a metre of stove pipe out of the stove for that extra bit of heat. The draw is good with an overall length of just under 5 metres of flue with one bend in it.The over night burn is not possible hence the 1.For the price I would rate this stove far above any other contempoary stove in its output range. It is heating two rooms. One being L shaped 7 metres x 5 metres and the main lounge area, 6.5 metres x 3.5 metres. The heat is also making its way upstairs, enough to take the chill off but we like getting into a cold bed.Now we are looking forward to getting our gas bill without having to pick ourselves up off the floor when we open it.Log rate over 5 hours approx 6 soft wood and 4 hard wood all around 7 inches x 3 inches. Low fuelage with high performance, What more could anyone want.I will be putting some pictures of the stove on our website, www.dalisafireplaces.co.uk.

  • Excellant

We have the Morso 7642 for a modern, well insulated and fairly large lounge(7.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 m).This stove is perfect for heating this area.Plus points are; the design and appearance, the build
quality and firebox design, the ability to control the fire (not just by the use of the air vent but also how you build the fire!), it is very clean burning (after ignition, there is no smoke from the chimney)and the glass keeps clean. If there is a minus, that is the fire will generally need re-kindled the next morning, this is not a problem for us.

  • Great stove

    Maggie Grey 12 years ago

Was disappointed to move to a bungalow with no fireplace - hated the thought of a big stove pipe but then we fell for the Morso. Looks wonderful, chucks out the heat but doesn't eat up logs
like our old burner. Hardly have to empty the ashcan and it is easy to light.

Stove expert replied: What a success story of this Morso stove.
