Baffle plate??? I think that is what it's called

I had my chimney lined earlier this year & the plate was taken out then put back BUT the wrong way round so the room has filled with smoke... This is how I found out... I thought I had got it right after many attempts only for it to fall down again. Does anyone know how it's supposed to fit????
