Review of Little Wenlock stove

Keeping it hot

JP 12 years ago

Just got the multifuel burner and have no problem lighting and keeping alight once the fire bed is well laid; however once the fire bed is laid and we close down the primary air flow but keep the secondary open the heat drops. We seem to continuously have to add a new log and open the primary value to get the temp up again. What basic mistake are we making

Stove expert replied: Try leaving the secondary air vent open about half way and likewise the primary. Then gradually close the secondary vent until a steady flame picture, this should help to maintain a good burn. Only move the controls in small measures so that you get to feel where it is working best.
