Review of Hunter Herald 80b boiler stove

Excellent all round !!

I got this to replace a Saey Blenheim which wasn't quite up to heating our three bedroom bungalow. This was the best decision we ever made, it heats the 11 big radiators with ease and is takes only slightly more fuel than the Saey. Very efficient. Having a 2ft fire box allows big logs to be thrown in which can smoulder all day only to spring into life once the dampers are opened. Build quality is excellent, riddler works a dream and it doesn't thrown any dust into the room when riddling. Airwash is good, but when damped down completely it will black up the glass completely - this may have something to do with out suboptimal flue.

Stove expert replied: any stove, let alone a boiler stove, will tend to get blackened glass when turned down. Sounds like this one is working really well.
