Review of Hunter Herald 80b boiler stove

combustible wood

Dolf Walg 10 years ago

Dear Expert, wood is indeed combustible, which is not an eye opener. Next to a boiler area the heating up is limited, but does take place. It is off course the last drying.

Wood should be dry before getting it inside.

Stove expert replied: Only wood that is less than 20% moisture content should be used on an appliance, seasoning can take in excess of a year depending on which wood it is and always the clearance of 450mm should be maintained.
