We have had the Franco Belge Monaco stove for 2 winters and it looks good and warms the house efficiently.

But like some of the other reviews we have read it pours smoke into the room when one opens the door. We have had to re decorate twice.

We informed the suppliers about these problems two weeks after the stove was fitted but they did nothing.

We have had the flue swept and burn only recommended fuel and dry logs but this make no difference. Sadly the Franco Belge Monaco stove has a design fault which makes it difficult to live with.

So don't buy this stove unless you like a smokey room, and enjoy DIY.

Stove expert replied: It might be a problem with the flue draw and not the stove, worth investigating further.
